“At the age of 16 Hailie-J entered into a singing competition called Kittitian Superstar where she only made it to the semi finals but that did not stop her from doing what she loved most. After the Kittitian Superstar competition, Hailie-J decided to start writing and recording her own music and also collaborated with some of her fellow local artists such as rapper S.M.I, V.P, Easy-B, Z-Dan, Simp and Underground.
April 2007 St. Kitts experienced a shock when she released her first promotional single “I’m Worth It” on the “dem time deh riddim”. At the time she was the only female Dancehall/R&B/Reggae artist that writes and records her own songs and received airplay. She was then contacted to do an interview at the Sugar Bowl Show where everyone shared her thoughts and views. Hailie-J then performed her hit single “I’m Worth It” at the Aidonia Show, which was held at Club Kactus. Hailie-J said that it was a great experience for her as she had the chance to work with her former dancers “Barbie” and “Clari”. She also performed on shows such as the Alaine show, the St. Kitts Fashion Weekend, Miss Big & Beautiful and Jah Cure in 2008.
“Music is my inspiration and is something that I take very seriously,” says Hailie-J and she realizes that the opportunity is knocking “for me I see it as an avenue to achieve great success in something that I have a great passion for.” During early March 2012 she released her first official music video entitled “If You Don’t Know Me By Now” and in September 2013 “Keep it Coming” featuring Silky de General which received a great response. Currently she has been working very hard towards her career and hopes to be successful” Ref. Hailie J BIO

FIREHOUSE SOUND
Born on the island of St. Kitts also known as Sugar City, Kyle Coker and Eustus Saunders became known to the Entertainment World as DJ Fire and Selecta Buddy, respectively. By growing up in a music
oriented and tourism driven society, this helped to influence their transition into the musical and entertainment industry. DJ Fire began his musical journey at the age of 13, when at that time he was fascinated and focused mostly on sound engineering.  He enjoyed mixing and recording for small, medium and even large sized events for both regional, local artists and bands for several years. DJ Fire then switched into DJing which afforded him the opportunity to play alongside many DJ’s in St. Kitts such as DJ Fresh, and as a result he became very appreciated by DJ’s because of his eager enthusiasm for DJing at his young age. Selecta Buddy began at the age of 18 as a MC for small college and high school parties in St. Kitts, more specifically at the local community college (CFBC). Also being close friends with DJ Fire, Selecta Buddy became familiar and privy to vast amount of music. The two, being classmates and close friends for a number of years teamed up to form what is now known as Firehouse Sounds. Today Firehouse Sounds play in the US Virgin Islands at clubs and bars throughout the islands. They are also apart of BlazeBoyz Entertainment which is a combination of Firehouse Sounds and EPBeats collating all their talent and expertise under one umbrella. By becoming a part of this movement they are now doing promotions, recordings, beats, parties, sound reinforcement, live production etc. In addition, they control a Saturday night online show on VI LinkUp Radio (www.vilinkupradio.com). LIVE WIRE SOUND
Inspired and ready to trod the trod “Live Wire Sound” took flight in 2002 when Cebo took his love for music to the next level when “Gold Finger” from Platinum Sound New York linked him in St. Kitts.
“I give energy to the sound and make you feel like a live wire” Di rect words of warning from Melvon Benjamin a.k.a. Cebo, Owner, Mic Man, MC, Sing-Jay, and Selector of “Live Wire Sound” rooted in Parsons Village St. Kitts W.I. If you want your core to vibrate to the beat “Live Wire Sound” will deliver. They cater for music lovers of all genres; Dance Hall, Rap, Hip Hop, Reggae, Soca, R & B and give you exactly what you need. Their international catalogue of music is large, but they always make room to promote National Artists and give them a well deserved forward. Cebo has played at a variety of different events and juggled with Sounds such as Lion Rock from Saddlers and Evolution. Since the end of 2012, he has held down the Sound on his own until 2014 when a fresh young DJ named Anson Ronaldo Bell joined Live Wire in 2014. He started juggling tunes when he was fifteen. Then, linked up with his friend and started playing for Ross University (Veterinarian School) Students Private Parties for two years . He plays Dance Hall, Reggae, R & B, Rap, Electro and Nigerian Songs. Together their combined energy take you to the heights until you’re ready to come back down. Bookings: Cebo 1(869) 764-8953

The positive force of his spiritual music is evident in his first albums: The Sting (1986) and Sweet Reggae Muzik (1993). His current release Shakedown covers a vast range of news, politics and culture. It is the culmination of years of work and the talent of many great musicians. Shakedown was completed in 2004 with the support of V-Records. Shakedown was mixed at StarVu Studios in Minneapolis, MN by Executive Producer Stevie Renner, and Producers Matt “Dr” Fink and Tony Christian, both veterans of the “Prince” organization.

Crucial Bankie's uncompromising original rhythms are rich in instrumentation and include the skills of top Jamaican musicians Dean Frazer, saxophone, David Madden, trumpet, Flabba Holt and Daniel “Danny Axeman” Thompson, bass, Hugh Malcom “the foundation of Reggae”, Carl Earton and Carl Robinson, drums, Keith Sterling, keyboards, and percussionists Sticky & Skully, along with “wicked guitarist” Stevie Renner of Minneapolis, MN with some amazing lead licks. “It’s a blessing to work with such creative and professional talent--which is one of Jah’s greatest gifts to humanity,” concludes Bankie”.

WINSTON ZACH NISBETT DR. OF CULTURE Curator of International House Museum and Edgar Challenger Library” (Central St. West @ Church St. Basseterre St. Kitts W.I.)

Nisbett has been awarded St Kitts and Nevis’ “Unsung Hero” award for his tireless support of local culture and education. In 2007 he facilitated a fife-playing workshop on site where participants were taught to both make and play the fife (a flute-like instrument key to local string bands). He also helped to establish the 2006 heritage site of Queenie’s Well at Belmont Estate, as part of a national effort to preserve historical sites for international and local tourism and, by extension, to generate income.  Nisbett knows its story so well, he has the hypnotising effect of all good storytellers.
The International House Museum and Edgar Challenger Library is named after the historian and founder of St Kitts’ trade and labour movement. After his death in 2001, Challenger’s home was converted by his longtime friend and caregiver Winston “Zach” Nisbett, who manages it singlehanded.
The “museum” is a small town house in some need of repair. It holds a treasure trove of traditional instruments and period pieces spanning the early 1900s to the 1940s. Documents lie everywhere, in piles on the floor, packed into old cupboards, and stacked on tables. A cursory glance shows records dating as far back as the early 1600s. Most of these are irreplaceable. Birth and death records, deed titles and yellowed, fragile publications are all here. There is also a more than respectable collection of books on the history of the West Indian Federation of 50 years ago”.  Ref. http://caribbean-beat.com/issue-94/little-house-history#axzz2q5l7VZJL

POINCIANA Theatre Productions Loughlan Tatem
Poinciana Theatre Productions began as s school drama club in 1998 when most of its founding members were second form students at the Washington Archibald High School. The group was named by one of those students, Miss Giselle Solomon, and has retained the name POINCIANA THEATRE PRODUCTIONS to the present day. Poinciana Theatre is known for its serious social theatrical presentation, sprinkled with  light humor, designed not to overshadow the message of its presentation, whether that message depicts the horrors of child abuse, the pain of domestic violence or other matters in the troubled relationships between men and women in our culture and society. Poinciana Theatre Productions is never without a social interest or concern at the core of its presentations. Poinciana is an active theatre group founded by local poet, novelist, Playwright and social commentator Mr. Loughlin Tatem.

The group is particularly recognized for its street performances especially in the McKnight area where the entire community comes together on short notice to witness the performances at Lower Thibou Avenue where Poinciana has virtually converted DOWN THE STEPS into a performing arts centre, where the MC Knight Community sit on antique concrete steps facing the sea, and enjoy an hour of interesting, humorous local theatre performances. Poinciana has also performed in villages around St.kitts and Nevis, and has represented the Federation on overseas assignments most recent Carifesta XI held in Suriname.

“A trained teacher and dramatist, he has performed in dramatic and musical productions, acting alongside such celebrated actors as Charles Hyatt of Jamaica.  He has also had tremendous success as a writer and director of several dramatic and musical presentations.

Creighton Pencheon received his training in St. Kitts and Jamaica, where he attended the University of the West Indies, and the Jamaica School of Drama on an OAS fellowship to study Theatre Arts and Drama in Education.  He has always been willing to share his expertise, and has used drama and theatre techniques to foster learning through workshops for teachers and various community groups.  As a founding member of the St. Christopher Heritage Society, and an executive member of the National Museum, Creighton works assiduously to assist these organizations in their efforts to preserve the island's cultural heritage.

His extensive research into the history and culture of St. Kitts-Nevis has made him one of the foremost authorities on local cultural traditions.  His hard work and commitment is reflected in the proliferation of cultural activities, through various community festivals, the rejuvenation of folklore tradition and the improved standards in the performing arts on the twin-island state.  He has also made his mark as a guitarist and a calypso songwriter, and has performed under the sobriquet of the Mighty Crusader.  Although he no longer performs, he is actively involved in fostering the development of calypso among the youths to ensure that this treasured art form continues for generations to come”.  Ref. www.tropicalfete.com
