On the morning of November17th 2010, Selwyn Caines also known as Reggae Artist "Zemenfes Kidus" carried out the role of caring parent and active citizen in the Federation of St.Christopher and Nevis as he presented some much needed supplies to Verchilds High School, where some of his very own children were students.When called upon to assist with some light fixtures for the school he rose to the occasion, knowing that his contribution would directly improve the school environment and impact the students in a positive way. Mr. Caines has had a long-standing relationship with Verchilds High School and has always taken a pro-active role within Verchilds Community making himself available to the Parent/ Teachers Association, willing to lend a hand in anyway necessary.
As a Musician his caring nature and genuine concern for unity among people is apparent in his songs "I Cry" from the album "Stand Firm and Strong", "Global Warming" from the album "Judgment" and "About the Situation" released earlier this year, which speak about issues that we, as a society, should be striving to improve.
